Tropica Aquarium Plants are produced by a privately owned Danish company, based in Egå near Aarhus. They were founded in 1970 by Holger Windeløv. In 2004, the company was bought by JPS Clemens, due to a generational change and they developed a new nursery garden in 2007 as the focus of their long-term strategy.
